Emmalee Amthor

Emmalee Amthor has over a decade of human resources experience in both K-12 and higher education. Currently, she is the human resources communications specialist for Saginaw Valley State University. Emmalee previously served as the director of HR and communications for a K-12 school district in Michigan. With a passion for employer branding, Emmalee aims to put the “human” back in human resources. In her role, Emmalee uses storytelling to build a connection with the university’s employees to get their stories out. She wants to show how her employees “Stand Out” not only on campus but also how their work has a positive impact on the Saginaw community. Emmalee holds a Master of Public Administration from Saginaw Valley State, a B.A. in human resources from Capella University and an associate degree in addition to a paralegal certificate from Delta College.
