Janelle Holmboe

Janelle Holmboe is an accomplished enrollment leader with extensive experience guiding enrollment, communications, and marketing teams in support of institutional strategy and mission. She currently serves as Chief Enrollment Officer and Chief Communications Officer at McDaniel College, where she oversees admissions, financial aid, and integrated communications and marketing efforts. In her role, Janelle is leading the development of McDaniel College’s new constituent engagement model, aligning institutional advancement and enrollment management to strengthen relationships across the student lifecycle. Her career spans both undergraduate and graduate enrollment, with prior leadership roles at Warren Wilson College and American International College. Across these institutions, she directed comprehensive outreach, recruitment, and admissions strategies that resulted in record undergraduate and graduate applications and enrollment growth. Janelle’s work is grounded in strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep commitment to advancing institutional goals through thoughtful, student-centered engagement.
