Nathan Pritts
Dr. Nathan Pritts is a higher education strategist, and Program Chair for First-Year Writing at the University of Arizona Global Campus, where he leads institution-wide efforts at the intersection of AI, pedagogy, and digital transformation. In his role as Faculty Fellow for AI strategy, his work focuses on helping universities move from experimentation to meaningful, sustainable practice by aligning emerging technologies with faculty development, organizational learning, and student-centered design. A systems thinker and longtime online educator, Nate brings a human-centered lens to AI integration, emphasizing coherence over hype and judgment over automation. He is the author or co-author of twelve books, including Film: From Watching to Seeing (3e and later) and Essentials of Academic Writing (4e), and editor of Empowering Educational Development and Faculty Growth With AI. His work explores how institutions can adapt to rapid technological change without losing their humanity.
