Courtney Witmer
As assistant director of social media, Courtney helps plan and execute short- and long-term strategy for Penn State’s main social accounts, uses performance analytics to shape recommendations for continuous improvement and growth across platforms, and manages a team of 7 interns and 8 influencers who help her curate and create content for the brand’s organic and paid social media efforts. Courtney previously held digital marketing roles at Facebook, Microsoft, and start-ups in the Bay Area, and spent four years focusing on paid social media at Penn State World Campus and IPG agency Mediahub. In addition to undergraduate degrees from Penn State, she earned an M.S.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. at Seton Hall University.
