Ed Cabellon
Dr. Ed Cabellon is a collaborative, innovative, and data-informed higher education executive, with 28 years of professional experience at both two- and four-year institutions. He currently serves as interim senior vice president for student affairs at Montgomery College (MC), leading the college's student affairs and enrollment management offices. Previous to MC, Dr. Cabellon served in senior leadership roles in student affairs and enrollment at Curry College, Bristol Community College, and Bridgewater State University. Beginning on June 2, 2025, Dr. Cabellon will join Frederick Community College as its interim vice president for student experience, leading their student affairs and enrollment services areas. Known for his servant leadership approach, grounded in data-informed decision making, Dr. Cabellon leads and develops high-functioning teams responsible for the successful recruitment, retention, and graduation of students through collaboration and organizational change. Dr. Cabellon has also served as faculty member teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in management, with his research and publications examining how digital technologies could improve student engagement, organizational change, and administrative efficiency. As a community leader, he recently completed a four-year term as the Board Chair for BAMSI, a large, health and human services organization, serving southeastern Massachusetts. Dr. Cabellon’s leadership profile blends an Enneagram 3‑SO, with StrengthsFinder themes Communication, Relator, Activator, Significance, Arranger, and a Myers-Brigg type of E-N-T-J.
