Jenny Petty

Jenny brings a wealth of knowledge in the higher education space, most recently serving as VP of Marketing Communications, Experience, and Engagement and Chief Marketing Communications Officer at the University of Montana. There, she oversaw brand strategy, digital innovation, enrollment marketing, creative services, and strategic communications, as well as the University's public media arm and Alumni Association. Prior to Montana, she led Enrollment Marketing, Brand Strategy, and Academic Marketing Communications at the University of Wyoming, where she was a key driving force behind the nationally recognized The World Needs More Cowboys campaign. Before her time in higher education, Jenny spent 12 years in the private sector working in brand management and digital marketing — including a Fortune 1000 company where she worked with brands like The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Harley-Davidson, Dolly Parton, Phantom of the Opera, and Family Guy. That foundation informs her approach to higher education marketing: bringing the rigor of a brand manager and the instincts of a storyteller to an industry that deserves both. Jenny finds joy in building teams and helping others grow, while always looking for opportunities to flex her creative muscles. She holds a degree in Journalism from the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada and a Master's in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, where her studies focused on the intersection of Servant Leadership and the marketing profession.
