In part three of the AI for Yield Season mini-series, Allison Turcio dives into a challenge every enrollment marketer faces—creating high-quality content quickly and efficiently. With growing demands for emails, social posts, landing pages, and event invitations, AI can be a powerful tool to enhance content creation without sacrificing quality.

This jam-packed episode walks through seven specific ways AI can help you optimize and scale your content efforts, from improving landing pages to personalizing event invitations.

Key “How-Tos” from This Episode:

Fixing underperforming landing pages – Use AI to analyze clarity, persuasion, and conversion tactics.

Finding and replicating high-performing content – Analyze top-performing emails, blog posts, and social content to create more of what works.

Using proven marketing frameworks – Apply persuasive structures like Power of One, AIDA, and social proof to improve messaging.

Writing stronger CTAs that drive action – Transform generic calls to action into compelling, engaging statements that get results.

Turning student testimonials into multiple content pieces – Use AI to adapt one quote into LinkedIn posts, Instagram captions, and email snippets.

Refreshing and modernizing old content – Quickly update past content for 2024 trends and Gen Z readability.

Personalizing event reminders based on student interests – Customize invites at scale to make them feel personal and relevant.

How AI Can Help You Create Better Content Faster

1. Fixing Underperforming Landing Pages with AI

If your deposit or financial aid landing pages aren’t converting, AI can help pinpoint why. Instead of guessing what to tweak, you can input your landing page text into a generative AI tool like ChatGPT and ask for an analysis based on clarity, persuasion, and conversion optimization. AI can then suggest specific improvements—such as simplifying language, adding urgency, or incorporating social proof—to make your landing pages more effective. This data-driven approach ensures you're optimizing based on proven conversion tactics, not just hunches.

2. Finding and Replicating Your Best-Performing Content

Your team has likely created a vast library of blog posts, emails, videos, and social media content. But do you know which pieces perform best? AI can analyze engagement metrics—such as open rates, click-through rates, and social shares—to identify top-performing content. Once you have that insight, you can use AI to generate new variations, like turning a popular blog post into a new series or repurposing a viral tweet into an Instagram carousel. By doubling down on what works, you can maximize impact without constantly reinventing the wheel.

3. Using Proven Marketing Frameworks to Improve Messaging

Great content isn’t just about what you say—it’s about how you say it. AI can apply proven marketing frameworks to refine your messaging for greater persuasion. For example, using the Power of One framework can help you craft focused, high-impact emails. Instead of listing multiple calls to action, AI can help you streamline your message: "Submit your FAFSA by Friday to qualify for grants, scholarships, and work-study. Click here now." Testing different frameworks—like AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) or the StoryBrand model—can help you enhance engagement and drive action.

4. Writing Stronger CTAs That Drive Action

Weak calls to action (CTAs) like "Sign up now" or "Deposit today" don’t inspire much excitement. AI can help you craft more compelling alternatives that resonate with students. Instead of "Register now," AI can suggest something more engaging, like "Your future starts now—secure your spot!" or "You’re almost there—make it official!" Small tweaks like these can significantly improve conversion rates and make your messaging feel more dynamic.

5. Turning Student Testimonials into Multiple Content Pieces

If you have powerful student testimonials, they shouldn’t just sit in a brochure or on your website. AI can help you repurpose them into various formats, such as a LinkedIn post, an Instagram caption, or an email snippet. For example, a student quote about financial aid support could be transformed into a short-form TikTok script or a compelling testimonial ad. By making the most of your existing content, you can amplify its reach while saving time on content creation.

6. Refreshing and Modernizing Old Content

If you’ve been producing content for years, chances are you have outdated blog posts, email templates, or social media content. Instead of starting from scratch, AI can quickly update your content for relevancy. For example, you can input an old FAFSA guide and ask AI to update it with the latest deadlines and simplified language for Gen Z students. Additionally, AI can summarize long-form content into more digestible formats, like transforming a lengthy article into a Twitter thread or a TikTok explainer.

7. Personalizing Event Reminders for Higher Engagement

Admitted student events are a critical part of the enrollment process, but generic invitations don’t always drive attendance. AI can help personalize event reminders by tailoring messaging to different student groups. For example, instead of a one-size-fits-all invite, AI can rewrite the message for business students by emphasizing networking with alumni or for STEM students by highlighting lab tours. Personalized messaging at scale makes students feel valued and increases the likelihood of attendance.
