Interviewee

Ryan Wilson

Ryan Wilson is among the 15 percent. Has was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, and has broken 50 to 60 bones. Most recently, in 2021, he fell out of his wheelchair, and needed surgery immediately. While he almost did not survive the surgery, it opened his eyes to what his friends with disabilities needed: support, understanding and love. From then on, he elevated his production company, Team Trust Productions, to a new level. They began serving more clients than ever before, helping them better understand the disability community through the creation of marketing communications. Team Trust’s strategies and values are informed by Ryan’s lived experiences with a disability and his history of working with the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee, and the US Olympic and Paralympic Museum. Collectively, he has built relationships with athletes with disabilities all over the world, in countries like Brazil, Britian, China, Norway, and New Zealand. This expanded his understanding and awareness of the disability community. At the same time, he saw the hearts of those with disabilities. He saw their authentic selves. That’s what he wants to share with everyone.
