Troy Brown

Troy Brown is a Los Angeles native; he attended Crossroads Highschool in Santa Monica, California and was awarded a tuition scholarship to play basketball at the prestigious Moorehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing. Mr. Brown was also awarded his Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership and Business Innovation in 2016 from the University of West Los Angeles (UWLA). Today, Mr. Brown is the Vice President, Director of Recruitment, Enrollment & Marketing at the University of West Los Angeles. Mr. Brown oversees the day-to-day operations of both the School of Business and School of Law at UWLA. He is also a Professor in the School of Business and teaches various courses on the intersections of Business and Culture, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. Mr. Brown loves giving back to his community; he currently acts as a mentor for the Achievers Program in Los Angeles, where he assists young high school seniors with their college applications and trains them to meet their life goals. As a Spinal Cord injury survivor, Mr. Brown also makes it a priority to mentor other individuals who have suffered from Spinal Cord injuries throughout Los Angeles County by instilling hope and perseverance in them during their recovery. Most recently, Mr. Brown presented a TEDX talk about overcoming tragedy and making the right, conscious decision to continue to persevere no matter the odds.
