Episode 17: The Great, Good, Bad, and Ugly of Slate as a CRM for Higher Education | The Enrollify Podcast

The Great, Good, Bad, and Ugly of Slate as a CRM for Higher Education

Or listen on:

About the Episode

So, you've heard of Slate - but you're wondering whether or not it's really worth the investment of time, money, and effort to make the switch to a new CRM.  Slate was designed and developed exclusively for higher education and considers itself to be "the only solution that can handle the breadth and depth of modern admissions and advancement, encompassing CRM, outreach, travel management, online applications, and online reading." Over the past few years, Slate has grown dramatically - it now touts more than 1,000 colleges and universities as clients - and while many enrollment managers swear by the platform, others can't stand it!

On this week's episode of the Enrollify Podcast, we feature a conversation with Zach Campion from Marymount University on all things Slate. Zach has spent almost three years working in the platform and helped assist in the migration process from Marymount's old CRM to Slate.  Zach shares honest insights into what he wished he had known before moving to Slate, what enrollment managers -especially those at the graduate level - should look for in a CRM, the best features and benefits of the tool, and the problem with the underdeveloped bells and whistles of the platform. Enjoy the show!
