FRIdeas #19: How to Write Landing Page Copy That Doesn’t Suck — 3 Live, Free, Original Examples You Should Snatch

Written by Zach Busekrus | Aug 14, 2020 8:51:00 PM

I was feeling a little bold (and a little bored) last night...

Turns out that's a dangerous combo of feelings.

I felt like it was time to go out on a limb and do something new on this week's episode.

I've been talking about the power of great copywriting a lot lately on LinkedIn (if you feel out of the loop, chances are we're not connected...let's change that!)

But talk is cheap!

So, I decided I'd do something a bit scary and record myself live editing three different university prospect-generation landing pages.

Here's what I did:

  1. I Googled "best bsn programs", "computer science programs", and "online MBA programs."
  2. I clicked on the first search result (regardless of if it was paid or organic).
  3. I (attempted to) improve the page's copy in realtime and explain why my revision is better than the original.

I had a lot of fun...and, at the very least, I think you'll be challenged to think differently about your website copy after watching today's episode.

Oh, and did I mention that I spend the first 5 minutes talking about the messaging lessons enrollment marketers can learn from Trader Joe's?

It's a party and a half.  And you've got a VIP pass.  Catch you on the flipside!
