Carrie Barnett

As SimpsonScarborough’s content marketer, Carrie helps advance the agency by amplifying industry research, thought leadership, and client work in their digital communication channels. Carrie graduated from California Lutheran University with a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Public Policy and Administration. Her previous employers range from the National Archives to 20th Century Fox Films to a ballet company. Most recently, she was Director of Advancement Marketing & Digital Philanthropy at her alma mater, where she built comprehensive advancement marketing plans and introduced innovative digital philanthropy practices to the community. Carrie is most proud of her management of Cal Lutheran's 2020 Giving Day, which brought the community together, tripled donations, and won a CASE Award of Excellence. A military brat growing up, Carrie now calls Thousand Oaks, CA, home with her husband, son, and three cats. When she's not working, you can find her cooking up a storm, hiking, cohosting her own podcast, I Don't Want to See That with Carrie and Kevin, or at the movies with her unlimited movie pass.
